Bimota motorcycle VIN Lettering

The Bimota motorcycle VIN is stamped on at the works in Rimini.
The VIN is currently put on with a needle punch device. The height of the lettering differs depending on the model:
mm. 5,5: Tesi 2, SK 8
mm. 6: Tesi 3
mm. 7: DB 5, DB 6
The VIN location is covered with clear varnish when printing is completed.
On the SB8K, BT2D (Tesi 2D) and BT3D (Tesi 3D) the number is printed onto the aluminium frame.
On the DB06 (DB6) and DB05 (DB5) the number is printed onto the steel steering head and is:

• Stamped onto a non-painted right-angled spot whose background colour is black
• Stamped onto a spot which has already been painted (damage to the paint visible)

The manufacturers badge is a self-adhesive film made of plastic. It is destroyed by any attempt to remove it. The letters are 4 mm high.
